While this may sound minor, the consequences are often larger than drivers realize.

When drivers park their cars crookedly, too far to one side, or over the line, they reduce the available space for other vehicles.

This not only makes it harder for others to park but also increases the risk of scratches, dents, and door dings.

In crowded lots, poor alignment can cause a chain reaction, forcing other cars to squeeze into smaller spaces and raising the chances of accidents.

Another frequent issue is not leaving enough clearance. Many drivers pull too far forward, allowing the car’s bumper to hang over sidewalks, or stop too far back, leaving the rear sticking out into the driving lane.
