In hot temperatures, such as those experienced during summer months, the internal temperature of an EV’s battery can rise beyond its optimal operating range. Most EV batteries are designed to function best at temperatures between 20°C and 25°C (68°F to 77°F). When exposed to excessive heat, the battery can overheat, causing internal chemical reactions that may degrade the battery’s performance over time.
